The Board of Veteran Cricket in India (BVCI) are set to organize the Indian Veterans Premier League, which will run from 23rd February to 3rd March 2024. This will be the first edition of the tournament and will feature legendary players like Chris Gayle, Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina to new a few.
As many as six teams will compete in the tournament such as Telangana Tigers, Mumbai Champions, Red Carpet Delhi, VVIP Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan Legends and Chhattisgarh Warriors.
Chris Gayle has been appointed as the captain of Telangana Tigers, while Virender Sehwag will lead Mumbai Champions. Suresh Raina will be at the helm of affairs at the VVIP Uttar Pradesh, whereas Herschelle Gibbs has been given leadership duties to the Red Carpet Delhi team.
Former fast bowler, Praveen Kumar will lead Rajasthan Legends, while Yusuf Pathan will be the captain of Chattisgarh Tigers.
The opening match of the tournament sees Mumbai Champions take on Telangana Tigers on 23rd February 2024. Superstars like Virender Sehwag and Chris Gayle would be seen leading their respective teams. Apart from the first day, all the other days will have double-headers taking place.
The first match of the day will take place at 2:00 pm, while the evening game will kick start at 7:00 pm. The competition begins on 23rd February with the league games concluding on 1st March 2024.
Following the league stage matches, the top four teams will progress to the semi-finals. Both the semi-final matches will be played on 2nd March 2024, while the final will take place on 3rd March.

The Indian audience can live-stream the matches on the Fan Code App and website. Besides, DD Sports will also be streaming the matches of the tournament. Additionally, the first edition of the tournament will also be streamed on Eurosport Channel.
