IND vs SA 2nd Test: Upon the arrival of Keshav Maharaj at the crease on day 1 of the ongoing first Test match, the DJ, once again, played the ‘Ram Siya Ram’ song. Despite having his origins in South Africa, Maharaj is a devoted Hindu and a big worshiper of Lord Hanuman.
In the first session of day 1 of the Test match, when Keshav Maharaj arrived to the crease, it was Virat Kohli, who grabbed eyeballs as he paid tribute to Shri Ram. He also welcomed Keshav Maharaj with a Namaste gesture.

South Africa outclassed India in the first Test but in the first session of day 1 of the second Test, Rohit Sharma and Co. showed one and all of why are rated among the best Test nations in the world.
M Siraj became the first ever Indian bowler to pick a five-wicket in the first session of a Test match. He produced a historic spell of 6 for 15 in 9 overs and helped India bundle out South Africa for just 55 runs in the first innings.
Siraj, once again, got rid of Aiden Markram by forcing him to play an out-swinger outside the off stump. Dean Elgar (4), who scored a match-winning 185 runs in the first Test couldn’t make a significant contribution.
Siraj Highlights India’s Bowling with a Six-wicket haul
M Siraj had him chopped onto his stumps in the 6th over of the innings. Debutant Tristan Stubbs (3) couldn’t stay for too long either, while Tony De Zorzi was a bit unlucky to find an edge while glancing the ball down the leg side.
M Siraj picked his four wickets by sending Bedingham back to the hut as the latter was caught at slips. The Indian fast bowler completed his five-wicket haul in the 16th over as he had Jansen caught behind the keeper to leave South Africa in all sorts of trouble at 34 for 6.
Kyle Verreynne fought hard for his 30-ball 15 but failed. Wickets continued to fall in short intervals as the Proteas didn’t find a single player who could play a big innings.
Playing his debut Test, Mukesh Kumar also bowled at great lengths and returned with two wickets without giving away any runs in a 2.2-over spell. Prasidh Krishna also bowled 4 overs and gave away just 10 runs but couldn’t pick a wicket. India would be pretty happy with how their bowlers bowled in the first innings and the batters should now look to take a big innings lead when they come to bat after Lunch.
