Hardik Pandya opens up on Mumbai Indians consecutive losses

Things are not going well in favor of Mumbai Indians who have lost their third consecutive match in the league. They have lost their fixture against Rajasthan Royals by six wickets & Captain Hardik Pandya is constantly at the receiving end of fans’ anger & trolling. Fans do not like the fact that Hardik is leading Mumbai Indians in place of Rohit Sharma. During the fixture, Hardik Pandya was subjected to constant booing. The act of booing was done to such an extent that Sanjay Manjrekar had to appeal to the crowd to behave themselves. In the end, MI lost the fixture adding to Hardik’s woes.

However, Hardik didn’t give up & performed with the willow to score 34 runs on board. He was the highest run-scorer for Mumbai Indians as except him none of the batters could make a difference. After the Mumbai Indians’ heartbreaking loss, Hardik took to social media to share a picture where the MI players can be seen in a team hurdle.

He captioned the post, “If there’s one thing you should know about this team, we never give up. We’ll keep fighting, we’ll keep going,”

There was no letting go of Hardik Pandya who was booed on several occasions on MI’s home ground. It began when Pandya took the field for warm-up drills. The fans again booed Oandya when he came for the toss. Even the commentator Sanjay Majrekar asked the crowd to behave but still, the boos continued throughout the fixture. However, Hardik didn’t let the boos lower his morale as he smashed a few boundaries to bring Mumbai back into the game after being reduced to 20-4 inside the powerplay. Hardik couldn’t convert his start into good scores & ended up scoring 34 runs on board.

How did the MI vs RR fixture shape up in IPL 2024

A clinical show from Rajasthan Royals resulted in their third consecutive win. They slammed Mumbai Indians with a six-wicket loss with Chahal (3-11) & Boult (3-22) outclassing Mumbai Indians for a meager 125-9 runs total. Riyan Parag (54 not out) churned out yet another top-drawer knock to take Rajasthan Royals to the first spot in the IPL points table.

22-year-old Parag continued to turn heads around throughout this season with a sensational knock which reflects his maturity & aggression. Parag’s knock was filled with five fours and three sixes as Royals reached 127/4 from 15.3 overs, winning with 27 balls to spare. Hardi’s knock of 34 runs went in vain as Rajasthan was too good first with the ball & then with willow. Rajasthan Royals will next lock horns with RCB in match 19 of the league while Mumbai Indians will face MI in a Sunday double-header while playing against Delhi Capitals. Let’s see if they can return to winning terms in front of the struggling Delhi Capitals.
