India’s lead fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah became the fastest Indian pacer to pick 150 Test wickets during the 2nd Test against England on Saturday. Bumrah reached the milestone after claiming the wicket of Ben Stokes during the second innings of the second Test match against England in Visakhapatnam.
With the wicket of Ben Stokes, Jasprit Bumrah completed 150 wickets in Test cricket and is now the fastest Indian pacer to do so. He wreaked havoc with the ball in the second innings of the ongoing Test.
Bumrah ran through England’s batting unit as he scalped the important wickets of Joe Root, Ollie Pope, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, Tom Hartley, and James Anderson and returned with an outstanding bowling spell of 6 for 45 in 15.5 overs.
Overall, he is the third-fastest Indian bowler to claim 150 wickets. He achieved the landmark in 34 Tests. The likes of Anil Kumble and Erapalli Prasanna also completed 150 wickets in as many Tests. All three are sitting at third position in the list of fastest Indian bowlers to pick 150 wickets in Test cricket.
Ravi Ashwin is at the top, having reached the landmark in just 29 Tests. Ravindra Jadeja completed 150 Test crickets in 32 Tests and is currently the second-fastest Indian bowler to do so.

He is at third spot, followed by Shoaib Akhtar (37) at four.
