There have been rumors of CM Punk returning to WWE for the past few weeks. Amid these rumors, former AEW star CM Punk has shared an interesting image. Punk was fired from AEW after a backstage clash with Jack Perry before All In on August 27. The 44-year-old successfully defended his “Real World Championship” against Samoa Joe at the event before his termination from All Elite Wrestling. His feud with Perry came a year after Punk brawled with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks at All Out 2022.
Punk shared cryptic posts on IG
Despite all this controversy, CM Punk has an unbreakable bond with his fans, and many are hoping to see him return to WWE at the Survivor series next month. The event is scheduled for November 25 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. Earlier today, Punk shared an interesting image of a bloodied wrist tape on his Instagram Story.
This story was followed by another cryptic post, but this time WWE legend William Regal wearing a straight-edge shirt. There were reports that during their promotion time together, Punk called Regal a puppet of Triple H.
EC3 about CM Punk
Recently, WWE Superstar Ethan Carter stated that CM Punk would prove to be a game-changer for the NWA. While speaking on a show, he said that NWA has a professional locker room that allows everyone to be the best version of themselves. He also said that if Punk decided to continue his career in the NWA, it would be a huge addition to the promotion.
“Having him coming in would be a game-changer, and I think there’s a more professional atmosphere in our locker room sometimes. So, I don’t think the shenanigans and tomfooleries of the intertwining and dramatics would take place as much as people striving to be the best versions of themselves. And the best version of anyone is EC3 as world Heavyweight Champion,” Carter said.
CM Punk was fired by All Elite Wrestling a month ago, but wrestling fans still talk about him regularly. It will be interesting to see if the troubled star returns to WWE at the Survivor Series next month.
