AUS vs PAK 2nd Test: The strangest things happened during the PAK vs AUS 2nd Test & one such incident came into the limelight when the third umpire went missing. The incident happened on the third day of the second Test between Australia & Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. After lunch break when players came on the field the game couldn’t resume as the third umpire went missing. The confusion came to an end when the broadcasters informed where the third umpire went missing.
How did Richard Illingworth stuck in the Lift

The third umpire for the second Test is Richard Illingworth. He didn’t leave the ground & went out & was inside the stadium. But what happened was that he got stuck in a lift at MCG. The missing picture of the third umpire went viral as social media users saw the funny side of it. Even Warner was seen laughing out loud on the field when he saw that an Official had gone missing.
In his absence, fourth umpire Phill Gillespie filled in Illingworth’s shoes & did his third umpire job. Netizens had a busy day as they saw the funny side of the incident & gave their epic reactions. Within minutes memes started circulating over the Internet.
After the incident, the MCG ground took to Twitter to apologize to fans both the teams & third umpire Illingworth for the delay & lift’s malfunction. After getting stuck in the lift for a few minutes Illingworth was rescued from the list & soon he returned to the third umpire box with fans roaring for him.
The commentators further made the incident funny when Illingworth returned to his seat & said that he looked tired. Illingworth flashed a big smile after knowing that the cameras were on him and he also waved a hi to the crowd as he knew he had gone very famous.
AUS vs PAK 2nd Test: Australia leads by 161 runs on day 3
Coming to the fixture, Pakistan got bowled for 264 runs in the first innings. But they stage a massive comeback by dismissing Australia’s top order in the second innings. At the time of writing this article, Australia was already four wickets down for 107 runs with Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith in the middle.
But Marsh & Steve were leading a fight after Shaheeh & Mir took the wickets of Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, and Travis Head in their opening spell. Aussies are leading by 161 runs at tea on Day 3.
