Dube came to the crease when India had lost both the openers for just 28 runs on the board while chasing a 159-run target. He gave a sense of assurance to the team by stitching a 44-run partnership with Tilak Varma and then a 45-run partnership with Jitesh Sharma for the fourth and fifth wicket, respectively.
Dube stayed till the end and chased down the target in just 17.3 overs. The southpaw made great use of the opportunity presented to him. The selectors would be looking at him as an ideal back-up for Hardik Pandya in white-ball cricket.

Shivam Dube tied the knot with her long-time Muslim girlfriend Anjum Khan on 16th July 2021 in a private wedding ceremony in Mumbai. The couple had been in a relationship for a long time before getting married. The duo kept it hidden from the people because of their religious beliefs.
Interestingly, the duo followed both Hindu and Muslim rituals during their marriage, which invited a lot of criticism on the internet. In February 2022, they were blessed with a baby boy.

Ahead of the IPL 2022 edition, Chennai Super Kings bought the services of Shivam Dube for a hefty sum of INR 4 crore. The southpaw enjoyed a stellar season with the franchise next year.
Batting in the middle-order, Shivam Dube was destructive in the middle overs, especially against the spinners. Dube struck 418 runs in 16 matches at a destructive strike rate of 158.33.
His performance for the side also paved the way for the Indian team. The 30-year-old has played 19 T20Is for the Indian team so far in his international cricket career, scoring 212 runs at an average of 35.33.
CSK have retained the Indian all-rounder for the upcoming IPL 2024 edition and the selectors will be having a keen eye on his performance in the tournament.
