LA 3-Point Shooters: The Los Angeles Clippers were among the NBA’s top 3-point shooting teams last season. In terms of 3-point field goals, they were third in 3-point field goal %, and 10th in 3-point field goals made per game.
The Clippers should once again be among the NBA’s top three-point shooting teams this season with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George at the helm. Since acquiring Leonard and George in the summer of 2019, Los Angeles has yet to go to the NBA Finals, this season is a campaign for the Clippers.
Let’s take a look at the 10 top LA 3-point shooters, who are anticipated to start Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris, and Ivica Zubac this season. The 2023–24 season is about to begin.

1. Paul George
Paul George participated in 56 games for the Los Angeles Clippers last year. The eight-time All-Star also had a 37.1% field goal percentage from outside the arc and averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists a game. George led the Clippers with 158 3-pointers made.
George averages 20.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists over the course of his career. This season, he’ll earn $45.6 million. For the 2024–25 season, George, 33, has a player option worth $48.8 million. PG-13, with a career field-goal percentage of 38.1%. He’s made 2,010 3-pointers since joining the NBA in 2010–2011.

2. Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard played for the Los Angeles Clippers in 52 games last season, averaging 23.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists while shooting 41.6% from 3-point range. The 104 3-pointers the future Hall of Famer made.
In the summer of 2019, the Clippers acquired Leonard in a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder and acquired Paul George. The team hasn’t made it to the NBA Finals yet, though. Only 118 regular-season games have Leonard and George participated in together. Since becoming teammates, both celebrities have been prone to ailments.
Leonard has played in 161 games for the Clippers. He has a per-game average of 25.3, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. In its existence, LAC has never advanced to the NBA Finals.
3. Nicolas Batum
Last season, Nicolas Batum played in 78 games for the Los Angeles Clippers. In addition to shooting 39.1% from outside the arc, he averaged 6.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. At the conclusion of this season, Batum intends to leave the NBA.
The 34-year-old Batum has averaged 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists throughout the course of his career. Since joining the NBA in 2008–09, he has made 1,589 3-pointers. Batum has a lifetime field goal percentage of 36.5%.
4. Norman Powell
In 60 games with the Los Angeles Clippers last season, Norman Powell shot 39.7% from three-point range. The NBA champion averaged 17.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while making 114 3-pointers.
Powell has a lifetime field goal percentage of 38.6%. Since joining the NBA in 2015–16, he has made 713 long-range shots. Powell, 30, has averaged 12.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists throughout the course of his career.
5. Marcus Morris
Marcus Morris shot 36.4% from outside the arc in 65 games for the Los Angeles Clippers last year. He made 112 3-pointers and had an 11.2 point, 4.0 rebound, and 1.8 assist average.
Morris has a lifetime 3-point shooting percentage of 37.6%. It would be intriguing to watch if Morris plays out the full 2023–24 season in Los Angeles after the Clippers attempted to trade the seasoned player this offseason.
The 34-year-old Morris has averaged 12.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists throughout the course of his career.
6. Terance Mann
Terance Mann’s 3-point percentage with the Los Angeles Clippers in 81 games last year was 38.9%. He made 77 3-pointers and had an 8.8 point, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assist average.
Mann has a lifetime 3-point shooting percentage of 38.3%. Mann has not yet been mentioned by the Clippers, who are interested in acquiring James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers. According to Shams Charania and Sam Amick of The Athletic, the Sixers have put a value on Terance Mann and a number of first-round selections in a possible deal with the Clippers for James Harden.
Mann has averaged 8.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists over his career.
7. Robert Covington
Last year, Robert Covington of the Los Angeles Clippers had a 39.7% three-point shooting percentage. The seasoned swingman averaged 6.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while making 54 3-pointers in 48 games.
The 32-year-old Covington has a career 3-point percentage of 36.2%. Since joining the NBA in 2013–14, he has made 1,224 of his attempts from beyond the arc.
Covington has averaged 11.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists over his career.
8. Bones Hyland
At the 2023 February trade deadline, the Los Angeles Clippers acquired Bones Hyland from the Denver Nuggets. In 14 games for the Clippers, Hyland’s three-point percentage was 35.1%. The guard made 26 long-range shots.
With the Clippers, Hyland scored 10.8 points on 40.1% of his shots on average. He has a career field goal percentage of 36.8% with the Nuggets and Clippers.
Hyland, 23, has hit 248 three-pointers since joining the NBA in 2021–2022. The VCU graduate has averaged 10.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists over his career.
9. Brandon Boston Jr.
Only 22 games were played by Brandon Boston Jr. with the Los Angeles Clippers in the previous campaign. However, his 3-point shooting efficiency was 41.4%. On 29 tries, the 21-year-old Kentucky product made 12 threes.
While shooting 76.3% from the charity stripe and 41.8% from the field last season, Boston Jr. averaged 6.5 points and 1.4 rebounds. The third-year player’s career statistics in 73 games with the Clippers include an average of 6.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.
Whether Boston Jr. has more playing time this season will be exciting to watch.
10. Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook played in 21 games and shot 35.6% from 3-point range with the Los Angeles Clippers last season. He made 26 3-pointers.
Westbrook joined the Los Angeles Lakers at the start of the 2022–23 campaign. At the trade deadline in February, Utah released him and dealt him to the Utah Jazz. After being released by the Jazz, the UCLA product signed with the Clippers as a free agency and played in 21 games for LAC, averaging 15.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.6 assists.
In the opening round of the 2023 playoffs, the Clippers played the Phoenix Suns. Because Paul George missed the whole series and Kawhi Leonard only participated in Games 1 and 2, Westbrook’s usage rate increased. Westbrook had a series-high 23.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game against the Suns, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Suns from defeating the Clippers in five games.
Last year, the Clippers had an 11-10 record with Westbrook starting. How many games LAC wins this season with Leonard, George, and Westbrook playing together will be interesting to watch.
