Another 2-0 home win followed over Sheffield Wednesday three days later with Sakamoto again on target before Coventry fought back from behind to draw 2-2 with Swansea on December 30th, showing their spirit.
That character shone again on New Year’s Day as two more Sakamoto goals helped Coventry win 3-1 away at Middlesbrough. Most recently, Coventry claimed an impressive 3-1 home victory over high-flying Leicester on January 13th, coming from 1-0 down to stun their visitors with O’Hare bagging a late brace after Marten van Ewijk’s equalizer. With talent like Sakamoto and O’Hare excelling, Coventry’s form makes them dark horses for a play-off push.
