WWE star Shayna Baszler didn’t hold back when, recently, a social media user claimed that women in the company would not become champions if they are tattooed. Recently, Dakota Kai shared a photo of herself with Baszler and Michin to promote WWE NXT Battleground, in which they were both competing. That’s when a WWE fan decided to comment on their post. The user claimed that the wrestlers in the photo had destroyed their bodies by inking tattoos, which Baszler chose to counter.
Both Shayna and Dakota responded to the comment
Shayna Baszler quickly pointed out that they have all been champions throughout their careers, with Bazler herself being a two-time WWE NXT Women’s champion and a three-time Women’s Tag Team champion. She also mentioned that Rhea Ripley has ruled the division for over a year and has tattoos on her body. She then told the user how stupid that comment was.
Wrestlers face many trolls from users online every day, so it is no surprise that sometimes they’ll want to respond, especially when they are being personally attacked. Kai also decided to respond to the comment and stated that the statement was probably written by someone who was sweating and struggling to breathe in his messy room.
Bazler recently lost to Lola Vice in PLE
Baszler may have silenced her critics online, but she wasn’t as successful in the Premium Live event itself. She competed in the match against Lola Vice, where Shayna was able to leverage her legitimate background as an MMA fighter, but Vice came out the victor. She was able to knock out Baszler with a back elbow to get the win. On the other hand, her real-life friend Michin was also unsuccessful in becoming the inaugural WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion as Kelani Jordan won the ladder match.
