Shaheen Afridi, who also happens to be his son-in-law, took the first two wickets. Haris Rauf took the following two shots. However, Kishan and Pandya combined for 138 runs for the fifth wicket, a record against Pakistan. They both scored 80 or more runs to help the squad reach 266. Shahid congratulated Shaheen, Ishan, and Hardik after the first innings. The game ended in a no-result since Pakistan was unable to bat owing to rain.
