Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland recently criticized NFL veteran Tom Brady. He lashed out at his handling of a roast. Strickland questioned Brady’s reaction to “The Roast of Tom Brady,” which was live-streamed on Netflix on May 5. The roast featured some of the biggest names from Brady’s New England Patriots dynasty, including a stunning lineup of comedians and professional roasters who took at him with dark funny jokes for over three hours. However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion reportedly took offense to some of the jokes targeted at his family, including his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.
The UFC star criticized Brady in a press conference
Strickland is set to face Paulo Costa at UFC 302 this week. He recently appeared at a conference ahead of the event and did not hold back his words to criticize Brady. He said a lot of cuss words, stating that he can’t take jokes. “Tarzan,” even said that Brady signed up for this himself, but he still got offended by the roast.
Brady regrets participating in such a roast event
Brady addressed the roast on “The Pivot Podcast,” expressing regret over its impact on his kids. Although he enjoyed the jokes played on himself, he was not happy with how the event affected his children. He realized how participating in such an event could have unforeseen consequences for his loved ones, causing him to reconsider his participation. He said the experience has made him a more conscious and thoughtful parent.
