UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O’Malley has recently predicted the outcome of the upcoming UFC 308 clash between Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway. According to O’Malley, Holloway will get the job done and come out as the new UFC featherweight champion. Suga further claimed that he will fight “Blessed” next and become another double champion in the UFC.
Sean O’Malley appeared on the “In the Believe Me” podcast, hosted by Michael Bisping and Anthony Smith. There he was asked to share his thoughts on the upcoming UFC 308. Suga described Holloway as one of the toughest fighters in the division and predicted his bout against “El Matador.”
“I think Max gets the job done. Max goes out there, wins forty-five, BMF champ. I move up, I beat Max, I’m the BMF, thirty-five, forty-five,” said Suga.
Suga is set to defend his title next month
Sean O’Malley is set to face Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 on September 14 in Las Vegas for the Bantamweight championship. The event will be held at the Sphere. The match card of the event is filled with multiple interesting and highly anticipated matchups. Sean O’Malley’s last appearance in the UFC octagon was at UFC 299, where he scored a unanimous decision win against Marlon Vera and defended his bantamweight title for the first time.
O’Malley is just the most recent in a long list of UFC fighters who have declared their intention to compete for the title in two weight classes. Topuria stated that he has similar objectives, but he wants to wait for the right time to pursue the lightweight division.

BMF title will not be on the line at UFC 308
On the other hand, Max Holloway captured the BMF title at UFC 300 by knocking out Justin Gaethje. That was one of the best performances of Holloway’s career. For pulling a huge upset that night, “Blessed” was awarded with the Fight of the Night by UFC president Dana White. Few days back, it was confirmed by the UFC that the BMF title will not be on the line for Illia Topuria vs. Max Holloway at UFC 308. However, “El Matador” is not bothered by this. During an interview with MMA Junkie, he said, “To be honest, I don’t care. They took that decision and at the end of the day it’s like, when I’m going to beat him, he can’t say he is a BMF or however they want to call him.” Topuria further stated that he is concentrating on his title defense and doesn’t care about anything else.
