Clash at the Castle saw CM Punk cost Drew McIntyre the WWE World Championship that too in his home country of Scotland. It seems like this thing broke Drew McIntyre. He walked into the ring on the latest episode of Raw, got on the mic and stated very clearly that he was quitting the company. While WWE Universe was eagerly awaiting the showdown between CM Punk and McIntyre in one of the most heated feuds, “The Scottish Warrior” spoiled the plans by quitting WWE on Monday Night Raw.
McIntyre seems done with the company
The Disappointed McIntyre made his entrance and was ready to speak. However, he didn’t have much to say other than a simple “Screw this company, I quit.” Triple H was shown trying to convince McIntyre to stay and think over his sudden decision, but Drew objected to the fact that Triple H spoke so highly of CM Punk at the Clash at the Castle press conference. Not only did McIntyre feel betrayed, but he also had to hear his rival praised by his boss.
This is making the storyline quite interesting
Drew McIntyre’s shocking quitting is clearly the next chapter of his rivalry with CM Punk. He might not even be away for that long, as Punk is scheduled to appear on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which is going to take place in his hometown Chicago. It seems like the tic-for-tac humiliation in each other’s hometowns is the way to heat up this feud even more.

Some fans caught this act as a tribute to the Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels rivalry of the 90s. When Bret felt like everyone was screwing him, “The Heartthrob” quit WWE in 1997 in front of Vince McMahon, who was on commentary. Drew McIntyre quit in a very similar way, going so far as to confront his boss. He is actually making the storyline quite interesting by deactivating all of his social media accounts. Let’s see how long he will be away from WWE, but expect him to take his revenge on CM Punk soon.
