After making changes to their starting roster, the games will allow them to adjust to a new offense. In this article, we will take a look at the Suns’ preseason slate.
The five preseason games are as follows:
Detroit Pistons – October 8 (Sunday)
The Detroit Pistons are loaded with young, talented players. They played well during the NBA Summer League and will be giving tough competition to the Suns. A lot of players on their roster are young, so they will definitely value the preseason more than the Suns full roster of veteran players. This could be a game where the Suns blow away the youngsters of the Pistons; otherwise, Detroit should have more players to put up a full effort in the first preseason game.
Denver Nuggets – October 10 (Tuesday)
This will be a rematch of the playoff series. The Nuggets accomplished this in six games on their way to winning the first NBA title in the franchise’s history. The Suns will be looking for revenge, and because these two clubs are at the top of the Western Conference, they will most definitely compete for the crown with their top-tier players.
Portland Trail Blazers – October 12 (Thursday)
This will be an interesting match to see because lots of questions will be answered, like, will Damian Lillard be on the team and will he come to play if the Blazers don’t trade him? Either way, he will be the headline in all preseason matches for Portland, regardless of who they are playing against.
Portland Trail Blazers – October 16 (Monday)
Both teams will travel to Phoenix for this match. This will be another chance for the Suns to get some reps against teams they will see a lot of this season. However, it is still unknown which of the sun’s stars will be playing in this game.
Los Angeles Lakers – October 19 (Thursday)
The two division rivals will be clashing in California’s Palm Desert at the Acrisure Arena. It seems to be a Lakers-supporting crowd. The stars should appear in it to give the show a neutral feel, because who wouldn’t want to spend time in Palm Springs and the famous place that hosts Coachella.
