Sami Zayn is trying to find a way to get a match at WrestleMania 40. He sent a cryptic message on social media ahead of this week’s SmackDown. Sami is currently part of the RAW roster, where he is one of the top stars. He recently scored a victory over Shinsuke Nakamura in hopes of getting a place at WrestleMania 40. However, his chances of getting a match in the biggest event of the year seem very slim.
Ahead of Friday Night SmackDown, Zayn took to Instagram to post a cryptic message for his fans. He uploaded an old picture of himself holding a sign and did not add any caption to the picture. The sentence written on the picture held by Sami was: “HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?”
Sami’s message could be directed to this issue
Sami has been very vocal about the current conflict that Palestine has been suffering for more than three months. His message may be directed at people who are observing the entire scenario without taking any action. Alternatively, his message could also be directed at the WWE creative team, which has not helped him make his case for WrestleMania. He was one of the headliners of the show last year, along with Kevin Owens, but his stock has taken a big hit this year.
Zayn might face Gunther for the Intercontinental championship
Gunther appeared on the latest edition of WWE RAW to ask who should face him at WrestleMania 40 for the Intercontinental title. He also mocked fans into thinking that Sami and Chad Gable stood a chance against him. The Ring General was interrupted by The Judgement Day. Dominik came out before Damian Priest and tried to get his hands on the Intercontinental Champion.
While things are heating up between Imperium and Judgement Day, fans can finally see Sami Zayn take on Gunther at the biggest event. Zayn has a better story heading into WrestleMania 40, and he would be the perfect man to defeat The Ring General without damaging his image.
