Ryan Garcia’s lawyers have recently made an announcement that says new test results for two supplements confirm the boxer did not knowingly take performance-enhancing drugs. “King Ry” was tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine during tests taken the day before and the day after his recent win over Devin Haney. He has consistently denied taking drugs, and his legal team now claims they have evidence that the boxer is a victim of supplement contamination. The legal team’s statement reveals that the test results of samples of two supplements, which Garcia declared on a signed VADA doping control forms in April, came back positive for Ostarine contamination.
Garcia’s lawyers released copies of the reports on the supplements ‘NutraBio Super Carb Raspberry Lemonade and Body Health Perfect Amino’. The reports show that both supplements were tested for a wide range of banned substances, including anabolic androgenic steroids, SARMs, stimulants and diuretics. Ostarine was found in both supplements, which were received at the lab. According to a report, Victor Conte has raised concerns about the integrity of the testing process, stating that unsealed supplement bottles compromise the chain of custody.
Garcia’s team highlighted his clean record
In response to this, Devin Haney has called for the fight’s result to be changed to a disqualification victory, while his father said that Garcia should face a lifetime ban from boxing. Despite all this, Ryan’s team stressed on his clean record, mentioning that he has voluntarily submitted to multiple tests during his career, all of which have had negative results. His team also noted that multiple tests prior to Haney’s fight were negative, highlighting his commitment to a fair fight. The statement noted that the levels of Ostarine found were extremely low, indicating contamination rather than intentional use. However, the amount of drug found in Garcia’s system was nearly 60 times the limit.

A press conference will be held to address the issues
It was also revealed by the attorneys that an analysis of Garcia’s hair sample returned negative results for banned substances, lending credence to the contamination claim. However, the hair testing process has been questioned. A press conference is scheduled for next week to provide more information on the latest developments in this issue.
