Ryan Garcia has taken some sharp digs at Devin Haney recently following his Orange County altercation. Haney, who holds world championship titles in multiple weight divisions, was seen getting into a brawl at the Orange County Fair. This gave “King Garcia” the chance to criticize his former opponent, who physically assaulted a civilian. Garcia made several posts in which he fiercely attacked Haney and even hinted at a possible boxing commission investigation.
Garcia started by saying, “He couldn’t even drop a civilian.” Then he went on to aim at Devin Haney, questioning his self-proclaimed role model status and stating that, “You really punched someone while your whole team jumps one guy… Thing is he punches so soft that maybe they will let it slide and call it play fighting.”
Haney and his friends were seen hitting a civilian
All this began when a clip surfaced in which Devin Haney and his friends were seen getting involved in a scuffle with a man in the crowd. The reason behind the scuffle and the identity of the victim are not confirmed yet, but it was Haney who initiated the conflict. “The Dream” landed the initial punch, after which his group of friends also joined in. Although being surrounded by so many people and the physical assault, the citizen bravely defended all the offense and didn’t fall back. As the intensity of the attacks rose, police sirens started sounding, listening to which Haney and his friends began dispersing.
The rivalry between Haney and Garcia began in April
Garcia is taking so many shots against Haney because he faced him in April and scored a dominant win. However, soon after the match, Garcia was found positive for a banned substance. This led to his win being turned into a no contest and further he also got a one-year ban. Moreover, Ryan Garcia also received a $1.1 million fine after being removed from the WBC.

This is not all because of which Ryan Garcia got involved in the controversy. Before the fight, Garcia posted a series of cryptic posts on his social media handle. This led many to believe that the 25-year-old boxing sensation was held by kidnappers. While some fans raised doubts as to whether Garcia was intoxicated or not. After receiving the ban, Garcia got into a new controversy because he broke into his ex-wife’s house and created a mess by breaking the things there. He later took to social media to apologize and promised to go to rehab.
