The former Undisputed WWE champion Roman Reigns had a heel run in WWE for almost four years and his run was phenomenal. He proved to be one of the best heels in the company in the last decade. This heel run gave him the opportunity to achieve what he wanted to do as a babyface, which was to become the face of the company. However, The OTC became a babyface at SummerSlam 2024 when he returned after a four-month hiatus and attacked his former Bloodline member Solo Sikoa. Roman is now expected to continue the babyface run for a while.
Reigns compares his heel and babyface run
Interestingly, Roman Reigns believes that his reel run was fun compared to being a babyface, which is a lot easier according to him. Speaking at the recent Power Players event, where he was united with his Wiseman, Paul Heyman, Reigns gave his opinion. “Well, the business was most successful with me as a heel, but you know, the future looks bright, so we’ll see. I think babyface is actually an easier side to actually perform in, but it’s so much more fun as a bad guy,” said Reigns.
Reigns is doubtful about his babyface run because when he was a babyface in WWE from 2015-2019, he struggled to gain the acceptance of the WWE Universe. Vince McMahon wanted to make him the face of the company or the next John Cena, but it wasn’t working. He was even booked against WWE legends like The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. But after the show, Reigns was rejected by the WWE Universe. After this, it was difficult to predict Reigns’ current popularity in WWE. However, when he turned heel in 2020, the tides shifted in his favor, moreover, Paul Heyman becoming his Wiseman proved to be a great combination.
The OTC is planning to reunite OG members of the Bloodline
“The Big Dog” won the WWE Championship at Payback 2020 and retained it for the next four years since then, one of the longest title reigns in WWE. Later, the company crafted a fascinating storyline that brought stars like Jey Uso to the fore. The Bloodline storyline is considered one of the WWE’s best storylines in recent times. The storyline had several ups and downs, including Jey Uso’s ouster from the group, which paved the way for him to become one of the biggest babyfaces in WWE.

Reigns also continued to perform well as a heel and now he is planning to reunite the OG group to strengthen his power. Recently, Reigns was attacked by Solo Sikoa’s men on SmackDown and is likely to return soon for revenge.
