At SummerSlam 2024, the undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes had to face one of his toughest opponents, Solo Sikoa. The match had bloodline rules in full effect and the entire family to call, so the odds were definitely against Rhodes at the PLE. When Roman Reigns’ music dropped, “The American Nightmare” must have thought that once again he would be one vs. all the members of The Bloodline, but “The Tribal Chief” returned for the first time since WrestleMania 40, not to beat him but instead to help him.
Reigns helped Cody retain his title
As expected, several members of The Bloodline entered the ring throughout the match to help Sikoa win. However, there were people waiting to drive them away. Those superstars were Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Interestingly, Arn Anderson noted to Rhodes right before the match that someone was there if he needed them, which the Undisputed champion didn’t know about. It turns out that it was The Tribal Chief. With no one to counteract and Sikoa about to claim the title, Reigns’ music played, which definitely made Sikoa nervous but wasn’t sure if his own family member, whom he helped to retain the title several times, was coming to spoil his plans. As the Head of the Table entered the ring, he went for a Superman punch, but not for Cody but for Sikoa.
Then Reigns hit Sikoa with a spear, gave a look to Cody and then walked away, leaving the way open for The American Nightmare to pin Sikoa and retain his title. Reigns stayed put after the match, looking at Solo Sikoa while Fatu was embracing and screaming at his family member’s return. “The Tribal Chief” returned to WWE for the first time since losing his title at WrestleMania 40. He is definitely not happy with what The Bloodline is becoming in his absence and Sikoa becoming the self-proclaimed Head of the faction.
The Bloodline is currently having an internal conflict
At the Biggest party of Summer, Reigns came wearing a T-shirt with OTC written on it, which is believed to be an acronym for ‘Original Tribal Chief.’ Reigns definitely didn’t dubbed Sikoa as the new Tribal Chief of the The Bloodline in his absence. Sikoa became the self-proclaimed head and recruited a lot of family members since taking charge. This has led to the internal conflict between the Bloodline and now Reigns will gather other family members like The Usos and create a new Bloodline faction.
