Roma form analysis
AS Roma entered the new campaign aiming to build on recent progress under coach José Mourinho. Udinese seemed set for another key win leading 1-0 against Atalanta, before conceding late on in a 1-1 draw. Overall, Udinese have developed into an awkward, stubborn side to break down under Montero’s pragmatic approach. Better productivity is required from Lucca upfront along with less passive displays in midfield. But if Udinese can add greater counter attacking quality, their solidity could form the platform for a successful season.
