The Indian cricket player Rishabh Pant was going to surprise his mother before the year began, but his plan backfired when his car struck a road barrier on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on Friday, gravely injuring the cricketer. The incident took place at Mohammadpur Jat in the Haridwar district’s Manglaur town. Pant recently shared his account of the terrifying near-death experience he experienced during the collision on the Delhi-Dehradun expressway. While traveling to his Roorkee residence early on Friday morning, the 25-year-old fell asleep and lost control of his Mercedes.
The talented Indian wicket-keeper batsman was fortunate to escape with severe injuries when he crashed his Mercedes and caught fire, causing it to catch fire.
At a curve near Mohammadpur Jhal on the Narsan border in Roorkee, his car tumbled uncontrollably, smashing the railings of road barriers and pillars, and then caught fire.
Pant was brought to Dehradun Max Hospital after being hospitalized at Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road.
The cricket player didn’t break any bones, according to Dr. Sushil Nagar, who was the first to treat him in the emergency room at Saksham Hospital near Roorkee. However, there was a ligament injury on his knee that would need more examination.
Pant added that although he has injuries to his head, back, and feet, his condition is stable.
“I did not use stitches for the two cuts (blunt trauma) on his head. “I have suggested that he be seen by a plastic surgeon at Max Hospital,” Dr. Sushil Nagar continued.
The doctor reassured Pant that the large bruises on his back were not burn injuries. “He broke the car window to jump out of it as soon as it caught fire, which is how he sustained the injuries. The flesh pulled from his behind when he landed on the side of the road. However, those are not particularly serious burn injuries.”
It took a great deal of work to contain the fire. By then, police and residents had already arrived at the location.
When the fire department’s vehicles arrived, they put it out.
The Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami had promised to take care of the entire medical expenses of Pant. But because Pant is a player under a central contract, all of his medical costs were covered by the BCCI.
The severity of ligament injuries varies, and it may take up to six months to fully recover. This raises major concerns about Pant’s availability for the home Test series against Australia, which begins on February 9.
Pant was not included in the forthcoming white-ball series that starts on January 3rd against Sri Lanka.

“I felt, for the first time in my life, that my time on this earth was done. I was conscious of my injuries at the time of the accident, but I was fortunate that they weren’t more severe. On the Star Sports series “Believe,” Pant stated, “I felt like someone saved me.”
“The doctor told me it would take 16 to 18 months to recover when I questioned how long it would take. Pant said, “I realized I had to put in a lot of work to shorten this recuperation period.
