Rishabh Pant, an Indian wicketkeeper-batsman who was injured in a terrible vehicle accident in December of last year, is currently healing. He missed the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as a result of his injury. Read on to know all about Rishab Pant’s recovery.
In the meantime, Pant, who has been practising at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), was recently seen in a video posted on Twitter by one of his supporters playing a friendly match. In response to the video, several fans said how happy they were to see Pant back on the cricket pitch. Pant can be seen playing certain strokes in the video with ease, which is excellent news for the Indian squad.
His chances of playing in the 2019 ODI World Cup remain limited, though. Many cricket fans and analysts agree that Pant should make his comeback with the Indian national squad after first participating in domestic cricket. He has, however, made fantastic improvements and has begun focusing on improving his fitness.

It will be interesting to see who fills Pant’s spot as India’s primary wicketkeeper-batter for the forthcoming mega tournament. Players like Sanju Samson, KL Rahul, and Ishan Kishan are vying for the position. Rahul has a better chance of making the team because he is more seasoned than the other two guys.
It’s interesting to note that Rahul is also leaving the team because of a leg injury he sustained in IPL 2023. Rahul has since been healing from the injury, but Pant just posted a video in which he can be seen batting in a game. Rahul is anticipated to rejoin the squad at the upcoming Asia Cup.
Another hitter who is also recovering from an injury was seen in the Pant-shared video. He was none other than Shreyas Iyer, the middle-order hitter for India. The Border-Gavaskar trophy earlier this year caused him harm. However, Iyer’s presence will be very helpful for the team in the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup as India lacks a suitable middle-order hitter.
