WrestleMania 40 saw Roman Reigns’ longest streak come to an end as the undisputed WWE Universal champion. The Tribal Chief will now be on a long hiatus before he finally decides to make a comeback. Recently, one of the members of the Anoa’i family and WWE legend Rikishi talked about Reigns taking a break from the wrestling world and the huge change that has come since his disappearance.
Rikishi discussed about Roman in the podcast
During the latest episode of his “OF The Top” podcast, “The Samoan Stinker” talked about how the fans are now liking Roman, which is a big change for him. He also hinted that Reigns might return as a face now, whenever he decides to make a comeback. Rikishi also talked about how, in the absence of Roman, Solo Sikoa has stepped up, which led the fans to him in the presence of the new despotic Tribal Chief. He said that now the fans are missing Roman and realized what he had in him.
“The Tribal Chief took a little break for a while, but here comes another Bloodline member who steps into the position. Let’s be realistic. As soon as the guy, the GOAT, Roman Reigns, disappeared after WrestleMania, you know, the fans weren’t liking this cat, now the fans are missing this cat,” said Rikishi.
The fans are now missing Reigns
The former WWE star said that the things and accolades that Roman Reigns had were the ones that fans have seen him achieve and they know how much he has sacrificed over his career and how much body, soul and mind he has given to WWE.
“When they put up all the accolades of what Roman had done for the past four however many years, they grew with him. They noticed and realized how much his character, his spirit, his mind, body and soul, his time, sacrifice, he’s given to WWE and the fans.”

Reigns has not appeared on a single show since WrestleMania, but it was expected that he would be part of the WWE Draft 2024. However, Roman made himself ineligible for the Draft as well. This announcement was made by Paul Heyman, which shocked the audience and later Reigns himself confirmed it on social media. Currently, it is uncertain when Reigns will return to the ring.
