WWE legend Rikishi has been away from the wrestling business for a long time. However, he is always outspoken when speaking about the company or a particular superstar’s management. Recently, he created controversy by criticizing WWE creatives for not pushing his son Jey Uso for a title match. Now, Rikishi has spoken about an emerging superstar on SmackDown and said that the wrestler is not being managed properly by the company and is instead being pushed too quickly. The wrestler he talked about is Jacob Fatu.
Rikishi’s opinion about Jacob Fatu
While speaking on his Off the Top podcast, Rikishi talked about Jacob Fatu and said that he doesn’t want to see Jacob beat Rhodes initially, but instead, WWE should hold more enhancement matches first and build him as Rhodes’ future opponent.
“I think Jacob is being pushed too fast. When you go to Cody, where do you go from there? Cody is the guy right now. I have said before, let Jacob rampage through the whole roster. Give him a couple of those enhancement matches to build. He doesn’t need but three minutes,” said Rikishi.
He further stated that “We’ve seen Jacob, however long he’s been on, a couple of months or whatever, but is there anything different? You can only do so much on a run-in. That’s what I’m saying.”
According to “The Samoan Stinker,” if WWE really wants to show his talent, they need to let him have squash matches, not match-matches, so that he can show his potential and everything he can do.
Jacob Fatu has targeted Cody Rhodes specifically
Jacob Fatu is currently one of the highest-rated Superstars on the WWE roster. He made his much-awaited debut on SmackDown on June 21, 2024. Fatu unleashed his fury on Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in his very first appearance. Jacob specifically targeted “The American Nightmare” in his first appearance as he put him through the announce table. So far, there has been no segment in which Rhodes has defeated Jacob Fatu. However, we might see this happen on October 5 at Bad Blood, where Cody Rhodes will team up with Roman Reigns to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
