Rhea Ripley made a surprise return to WWE on July 8, Monday Night Raw, shocking everyone and especially Liv Morgan. Despite her appearance on Raw, it has been confirmed that Ripley has not been medically cleared for in-ring action yet, ahead of her match at SummerSlam. According to a report, Rhea is set to make her in-ring action in August, but she is not 100% cleared yet for physical altercation. So Ripley will not wrestle or be involved in any physical fight until the PLE.
Ripley will face Morgan at SummerSlam
Rhea Ripley appeared on the latest episode of Raw and did an in-ring promo with Dominik Mysterio and a few backstage segments as well. However, the former women’s world champion did not come face-to-face with Liv Morgan. Instead, “The Queen of Extreme” responded to Rhea’s threats through a big screen. During Rhea’s return episode of Raw, Morgan retreated through the crowd to avoid any physical altercations. WWE is being very careful in the scripting of this storyline to keep Rhea out of physical activities until she is medically cleared.
Ripley’s surprising return to WWE programming came after a three-month hiatus due to a shoulder injury she suffered in an attack by Liv Morgan in April, which forced her to relinquish her Women’s World title. Initially, it was planned that Rhea would either return at SummerSlam or the Raw episode following the PLE. However, the company decided to schedule her title match against Morgan at SummerSlam. The decision is taken because of Rhea’s speedy recovery and she is expected to be fully cleared by August 3.
Rhea vowed to end Morgan’s revenge tour
During the recent episode of Raw, Ripley expressed her resolve to reclaim the championship she never lost and challenged Morgan to face her at the “Biggest Party of the Summer.” More than that, her multiple scenes with Dominik and Judgement Day made her a big part of the program without any matchups. Expect these kinds of segments to continue until the PLE. Even though she is currently not getting involved in physical fights, her presence on Raw continues to raise excitement and anticipation for her in-ring return. Ripley has vowed to end Morgan’s revenge tour, take back her women’s title and dominate the division.
