Osasuna form analysis
Osasuna enjoyed an encouraging run of form prior to a disappointing 3-0 home defeat against Celta Vigo last time out. That stretch began with two winsand a draw in four games, starting with a hard fought 1-0 victory at home over struggling Almeria courtesy of a Budimir goal. What followed was an excellent comeback 3-2 win against Getafe, turning the game around from 2-1 down helped by goals from substitutes Areso and Budimir.
Sandwiched between was a creditable 1-1 away draw at rivals Sevilla, coming from behind as Budimir struck again to claim a point. However, consecutive defeats next against Barcelona and then Celta Vigo brought frustration. Failing to build attacks or create chances ultimately cost manager Jagoba Arrasate’s men. So while defensively robust and a threat from set pieces, Osasuna’s form relies heavily on Budimir’s finishing. Improving the service into him and providing greater creativity and guile in the final third is now essential.
