Ravi Shastri on India’s humiliating batting collapse
Not a single run was scored and 6 wickets fell in the space of 11 deliveries. While witnessing the collapse, former cricketer and commentator Ravi Shastri took a dig at the Indian team.
“153/4, 153 all out; if someone went around the corner for a dump and has come back, India have been bowled out for 153,” Ravi Shastri said on air.
Despite the collapse, India had managed to take a 98-run lead and took three South African wickets in the third innings at the end of day 1. The 2nd day is, currently, underway and India has exerted dominance with the ball.
Bumrah Starred with a Six-wicket haul
Jasprit Bumrah fired on all cylinders and picked a five-wicket haul. Wickets kept falling in short intervals but it was Aiden Makram who kept the team in the hunt. Amidst difficult batting conditions, Markram notched a sensational hundred and, thereby, kept South Africa in the hunt. He scored 106 runs in 103 balls, including 17 fours and 2 sixes.
South Africa was bundled out for 176 runs with India needing 78 runs to win the match.
