The NBA’s finest players are distinguished from the others by this tier system, and certain players also experience a climb in the rankings as a result of their exceptional play. The tier structure has seen some adjustment as the All-Star Break approaches.
The players who are now ahead of the others and those who are lagging behind will be displayed in the March 2024 rankings. Recall that over the course of a month, performance and influence are evaluated based on statistics, overall play, and team performance rather than a player’s condition.
Rankings of the Top 25 NBA Players by Tiers, March 2024
Check out the rankings of the top 25 NBA players by tiers(march 2024):
Tier 1

- Nikola Jokic
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
- Luka Doncic
With his average of 26.0 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game while shooting 58.2% from the field, Nikola Jokic is the clear favourite to win MVP. The Serbian is becoming a better player all around and has led the Denver Nuggets to the best record in the Western Conference. Jokic is the main reason why the Nuggets are the greatest danger in the Western Conference this year.
With an average of 31.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Gilgeous-Alexander is just an incredible talent. In addition to becoming one of the league’s most prolific scoring players, he is also becoming more adept in defence.
Although the Thunder aren’t considered as strong of a title contender as the Nuggets, Gilgeous-Alexander has been the team’s main player.
Luka Doncic, the sensational Slovenian player averaging 34.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game, is the last member of Tier 1. With how much time he has spent dominating the court, the walking triple-double threat looks like he has played for ten years. Whatever happens with the Mavericks this season, Doncic will be among the top three in the MVP competition.

Tier 2

- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Jayson Tatum
Giannis Antetokounmpo remains one of the top five players in the world. Giannis is the only player in the top five who is equally adept at playing numerous positions of defence and attacking dominance. The Greek Freak is a big part of the Milwaukee Bucks’ championship run, averaging 30.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game.
The Boston Celtics, who own the greatest record in the NBA, have Jayson Tatum as their top player right now. Tatum is an enhanced leader and among the league’s top offensive players (27.0 PPG), and it’s a pleasure to watch him score. Additionally, he has benefited from an exceptional team that includes Jaylen Brown.
Tier 3

- Kawhi Leonard
- Kevin Durant
- Devin Booker
- Domantas Sabonis
- Anthony Davis
- Jaylen Brown
- Jalen Brunson
With a brilliant 42.6% three-point shooting percentage and game totals of 23.7 points and 6.2 rebounds, Kawhi Leonard is a force to be reckoned with on the floor. Hopefully, Leonard stays healthy since the Clippers have been playing well and are the club that has the second-best chance of making it to the Western Conference Finals, behind only the Denver Nuggets.
Kevin Durant is averaging 28.5 points per game on virtually 50-40-90 shooting splits, and his offence has kept the Phoenix Suns in the hunt. In addition to being an attacking powerhouse, the 35-year-old has developed as a leader—a quality that has been questioned in previous years.
Since the beginning of the year, Devin Booker has been on fire, and so far, his scoring average is a solid 27.5 points per game. The Suns have depended entirely on Kevin Durant this season, and the forward has needed more assistance, so Booker’s output has been a gift. Booker, who is now among the greatest players in the world, gets named to his third All-Star team.
One of the NBA’s most underappreciated players at the moment may be Domantas Sabonis. With an average of 20.1 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game, Sabonis is now the most influential player for the Sacramento Kings and a walking triple-double threat. Sabonis has been a revelation in addition to De’Aaron Fox.
Another superstar, Anthony Davis, is enjoying a fantastic individual campaign despite his team’s mediocre 36-31 record. With averages of 24.7 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game, Davis has occasionally been outstanding. It is undeniable that he is experiencing one of his finest seasons on his own.
Jaylen Brown has been playing at his very best lately. Brown has been a reliable player for the Celtics, averaging 22.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. His 37-point performance against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night further supports this. Brown is dispelling the accusation that he was overpaid at the beginning of the year, despite what many others said.
Despite the fact that the Knicks are among the league’s most underappreciated teams, Jalen Brunson still deserves his roses. With his offensive avalanche of 26.9 points and 6.6 assists per game, Brunson is leading the Knicks to a third-place finish in the East, behind the Bucks and Celtics. All the Knicks need is for Julius Randle to be well.
Tier 4

- Tyrese Haliburton
- Damian Lillard
- Kyrie Irving
- LeBron James
- De’Aaron Fox
- Anthony Edwards
- Donovan Mitchell
With 20.7 points and 11.4 assists per game, Tyrese Haliburton is the player we always thought he would develop into. As such, he represents an entire offensive system behind the league’s top-ranked offence. He is now at Tier 4, but his level has declined during the All-Star break and his health is a source of worry.
One of the greatest point guards in the world, Damian Lillard averages 24.4 points, 6.8 assists, and 35.2% three-point shooting a game. Despite his popularity and statistical support, he was still selected as an Eastern Conference All-Star starter. However, his success will ultimately depend on how the Bucks do at the end of the season.
This season, Kyrie Irving has really helped Dallas, as seen by his 25.2 points and 5.0 assists per game average, which has secured the team’s postseason berth. Dallas’ squad as a whole is called into question since we know what to anticipate from Kyrie and his incredible sidekick, Luka Doncic.
Even at 39 years old, The King is still ranked among the top 20 players in the world. His impressive three-point shooting percentage of 40.3% allows him to average 25.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 8.0 assists a game. If LeBron James doesn’t have further support from the Lakers group that doesn’t include Anthony Davis, the team won’t be competitive for a championship.
Being the Kings’ main player, De’Aaron Fox has put up impressive numbers this season, averaging 27.0 points and 5.6 assists per game. While Sabonis has shown more dominance in all areas, Fox, who is 26 years old, is the team’s primary scorer. The Kings are hoping for a deeper postseason run this year.
It’s possible that Anthony Edwards isn’t getting the attention he deserves, but the NBA is currently very competitive. Although he is ranked in the top 20 in the world, the athlete may believe he is in the top 10. With his season average of 26.4 points per game, it won’t be long until Edwards is mentioned as a possible MVP.
Unfortunately, Donovan Mitchell lost out on being selected to the All-NBA Team because of the 65-game restriction, which many players have been grumbling about. This detracts from his stature in the league. Although we won’t erase his whole season, the shooting guard has to move up the ranks after missing seven consecutive games and scoring an underwhelming 14 points when he returned.
Tier 5

- Victor Wembanyama
- Paul George
- Stephen Curry
- Zion Williamson
- Bam Adebayo
- Trae Young
Just hand the Rookie of the Year award to Victor Wembanyama. He is becoming a better all-around scorer and is a great defensive player, averaging 3.4 blocks per game. The Frenchman has been completely ignored by the San Antonio Spurs, who have been a complete catastrophe. However, we can all expect improved play from them in the upcoming season.
In Tier 5, Paul George overtakes James Harden once more due to his more impressive stats. George is the second-best player on the Clippers with 22.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game this season while shooting 39.6% from three. The club is still benefiting from George’s performance, who is playing with a lot of intensity on defence as the playoffs approach.
Even if the Golden State Warriors end up in the play-in round, Stephen Curry is one of the finest point guards in the world. While Curry’s shooting is unmatched and the Warriors would be in the lottery without him, he is not nearly as dominating as he was during his MVP seasons. This summer, let’s see whether the Warriors can reassemble around Curry.
Zion Williamson should take the majority of the credit for the New Orleans Pelicans’ impressive basketball performance. With a remarkable 57.8% shooting percentage from the field, the big man is averaging 22.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season.
This season, Bam Adebayo has been the Miami Heat’s best player and is a huge asset to the group. Adebayo is a strong candidate for Defensive Player of the Year with 19.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists a game. Miami has a shot to contend in the East and we won’t be shocked if they challenge for the Finals as long as Adebayo performs at a good level.
We are unable to remove Trae Young from Tier 5 due to the intense competition for the guard position in the NBA. Because he plays for a lousy club, we shouldn’t undervalue his exceptional stats.
