WWE veteran Randy Orton is nearing the age of 45 and doesn’t have much time left in his professional wrestling career. Orton has been in WWE since 2002 and is still one of the top superstars on the roster, even though many others have come and gone. “The Viper” has remained consistent and now the question is, what are his plans after WWE?
Orton has no intention of taking up acting
According to Randy Orton, he will remain in WWE until the last day of his life. “The Viper” made the revelation during his appearance on the Kurt Angle Show. “I don’t know if this is showing my cards or not, but I kind of see myself being with WWE for life. I don’t know why I would go anywhere else,” said Orton. He also added that he has no intention of taking up acting as his next career, as he is not passionate about it like John Cena or Batista.
Orton will now be seen having fewer but important matches in his career. Most recently, he faced off against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship match at the Bash in Berlin PLE. Even though he lost, Orton’s popularity remains intact. He has never been pushed down the card, he has never been considered a mid-card wrestler in his career. The 14-time WWE Champion has lost a few matches in the last few WWE PLEs, but he is still one of the biggest WWE Superstars.
The Viper might compete against his old rival
Randy Orton’s rivalry with WWE veteran John Cena is considered one of the biggest storylines in WWE. Even though Randy has lost several matches against “The Cenation Leader,” that hasn’t diminished his aura and now the two are probably looking forward to their last match at WrestleMania 41 before Cena retires from wrestling. While this match is eagerly awaited, there has been no official statement from WWE. Even Cena recently said that he has never pitched a match to WWE and when he gets it, only then will this match be possible. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the WrestleMania 41 match between Cena and Orton. Only the future will tell if the fans could ever see the two clashing for the one last time.
