Former UFC star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has recently revealed that he was blocked by Khabib Nurmagomedov a long time ago. The two have never faced each other inside an MMA cage, but both have had a huge impact on the UFC.
While Khabib is considered one of the greatest fighters to ever step inside the UFC octagon, “Rampage” has been a great entertainer both inside and outside the cage. Apart from being a KO specialist, Jackson is also known for his witty sense of humor. He has been in the limelight several times for making weird comments that have amused his fans, but it seems like “The Eagle” got annoyed with him.
Why did Khabib block Jackson?
Recently, in a conversation with Matan Even, Jackson discussed a variety of topics and then revealed that at one point he was blocked by Khabib Nurmagomedov on Instagram a long time ago. This was a surprising revelation because athletes usually don’t block each other on social media. Jackson then revealed the reason behind this and stated that because of his personality, he says some weird things. Jackson acknowledged that Khabib is very religious and that he probably mispronounced Khabib’s last name because he is bad at pronouncing names.
“I think I called him Khabib Ni**a run off,” said Jackson.
Jackson also acknowledged Dana White
However, Jackson is not always joking around, as he recently thanked UFC CEO Dana White for saving his career. Rampage Jackson ushered in a new era in the UFC alongside the likes of Wanderlei Silva. However, before joining this promotion, Jackson was a part of PRIDE FC. He then joined the World Fighting Alliance (WFA). Unfortunately, the company shut down. That’s when Dana White stepped in. During the podcast with Joe Rogan, Jackson stated that in order to bring him into the UFC, White bought the WFA. The best part is that even years after leaving fighting, Jackson’s character remains as it was before.
