Pakistan’s swashbuckling Captain Babar Azam has grabbed the limelight due to his lethal performances in the International arena. And adding to his success is his glorious performance in the ongoing LPL 2023 where he has smashed a plethora of runs for his franchise Colombo Strikers. The prolific batter stayed true to his image of one of the best batters in World Cricket by achieving a unique feat in the T20 format. On Monday during LPL 2023 fixture against Galle Titans, Azam went on to score his 10th T20 century becoming the second batter after Chris Gayle to achieve this feat. Talking about Babar Azam, Ramiz Raja said,
“Fifty in security, class, and quality, calmness. He is your guy in such a situation, in the back deep in the innings. I just absolutely love him – wanna marry him,”

When did Babar Azam register his majestic Century?
Chasing a mammoth 189 runs at Pallekele, Babar Azam stood on the crease & scored runs for his team. He didn’t let the pressure hamper his performance & combined aggression with caution to ensure that the side chase the target easily. In the process, Azam scored a glemaing 104 runs which helepd Colombo Strikers to register their second win in a trot.
After a poor show in the opening clash of LPL 2023, Azam has amassed 59, 41, and 104 in subsequent matches to become LPL 2023 leading run-scorer with 211 runs in his kitty. And the stunning victory helped the Strikers to move up to the third spot at the Points Table. Colombo Strikers couldn’t continue their winning streak against Jaffna Kings as they suffered a six-wicket defeat in their last fixture on Tuesday. Batting first Jaffna Kings produced a stunning show with the ball in hand & restricted Colombo to a meager 146 runs total. In reply, the Kings were in their best form & chased the target within 14 overs.
Strikers will next face B-Love Candy in a Saturday double-header & Babar Azam will aim to produce another gleaming knock & help his side bounce back to winning terms.
