Queens Park Rangers’ recent form has been poor, with one win and four losses from their past five Championship games. This disappointing run started with a narrow 1-0 home loss to promotion chasers Southampton on December 23rd, undone by Taylor Harwood-Bellis’ first half goal. Millwall form analysis
Millwall’s recent Championship form has been reasonably solid. Two wins, two clean sheets and a narrow defeat from their past five matches. This steady run began with a goalless home draw against Stoke on December 23rd. Things improved on Boxing Day as Millwall claimed a vital 2-0 home win over struggling QPR thanks to goals from Tom Bradshaw and Mason Wallace. They made it back-to-back wins three days later, edging Norwich City 1-0 courtesy of another Bradshaw strike.
The New Year opened frustratingly however as despite dominating, Millwall could only muster a 1-0 victory away at Bristol City through Scott Malone’s stoppage time winner, signs their attacking form still lacks sharpness. This cost them recently as despite Jake Brankley’s early goal, improved Middlesbrough struck back to win 3-1 away from home on January 13th. Based on these results against varying opposition, Millwall’s resilient defense has provided consistency but their blunt attack remains a concern in tight contests.
