Yes, this news was about Rohit Sharma that Preity Zinta’s dream is to have Rohit Sharma in the Punjab Kings team and she can go to any extent for that. Some reputed newspapers even wrote that Preity Zinta could risk her life to get Rohit Sharma to play for Punjab Kings.
This was a very unprofessional attempt to get views and likes on the news and it was a good thing that Preity Zinta herself came forward on the internet to deny these news and it became clear how much the media has fallen nowadays.

All these articles are completely fake & baseless. I hold Rohit Sharma in very high regard & am a big fan of his, but I have NEVER DISCUSSED him in any interview nor made this STATEMENT ! I also have a lot of respect for Shikhar Dhawan & he being currently injured , makes these articles appear in very poor taste. These articles are a perfect example of how misinformation is picked up without any verification & circulated online. Talking about it, this has happened before in cricket where they have seen that the media prints anything, shows anything, just for the sake of it. Here, running fake news is not a big deal, people run fake news for likes and views and people had advised that they should file a case against the newspapers that wanted wrong news because they did not say anything like that. Even if the Punjab team is weak, it does not mean that you will troll someone’s team.
