Miami Heat vs. Washington Wizards: Prediction (2024)

The Miami Heat will face the Washington Wizards on March 31 (Sunday) at the Capital One Arena. This will be the fourth and final matchup between the two teams, with the Heat looking to win the season series. Miami surprisingly lost to the Wizards in their most recent matchup on March 10. The Heat won the first two matchups but lost the third one in a close game, 110-108. Jimmy Butler had a chance to win it for Miami, but his shot hit the back of the rim. The Wizards have not won the season series against the Heat since the 2014–2015 season.

The Heat are trying to narrow the gap with the Indiana Pacers for the No. 6 spot in the Eastern Conference. They are just one game behind and will love to get closer before their matchup against the Pacers on April 7. Meanwhile, the Wizards are looking to avoid breaking the record for the worst season in franchise history. They need to win four more games to tie with the 1961–1962 Chicago Packers, who have won 18 games.

Starting lineup

The Miami Heat have three players on their injury report. They will most likely start with Terry Rozier, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Jovic, Patty Mills and Bam Adebayo.

On the other hand, the Washington Wizards have seven players on their injury report, including Kyle Kuzma. If he gets cleared, the Wizards’ starting lineup will include Corey Kispert, Deni Avdija, Jordan Poole and Marvin Bagley III.

Betting tips

Jimmy Butler has an over/under of 19.5 points. He will look to take revenge on Sunday in the high-scoring game. You can bet on him to score more than 20 points.

Jordan Poole is favored to score more than 17.5 points. He has been playing some amazing basketball for the past month, so you can take the risk and bet on him to go over 17.5 points.
