The two teams will face each other for the first time this season. The Clippers are coming off a tough 10-point loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, which snapped their five-game winning streak. They are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 30-15 record. Meanwhile, the Wizards are in second-last place in the Eastern Conference with a 9-27 record.

The Wizards have their shooting guard, Landry Shamet, on the injured reserve list due to illness. Isiah remains on the list as well, with a persistent hip injury.
