The LA Clippers will face the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 3 (Sunday) at Target Center Arena. This will be the third matchup between the teams this season, with Minnesota leading the series 2-0. The Clippers will be without Russell Westbrook in the upcoming contest as he has fractured his hand. The Timberwolves could also be without Anthony Edwards, who is questionable because of a sore left ankle. He played only 19 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 124-120 overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday due to personal reasons. After an impressive performance from mid-December to early February, they have been struggling.
Preview
The Clippers’ offense, which had been dominant for more than two months, has suddenly become stagnant. They have been troubling to score points. They scored a win against the Memphis Grizzlies on February 23, but could only score 101 points. They will face a much stronger team on Sunday, so LA needs to get better at shooting touch and rhythm back.
Without Anthony Edwards in the second half on Friday against the Kings, the Timberwolves lost in overtime. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 19 points but took 17 shots and five free-throw attempts to get his points. He will have to play much better if Edwards is unavailable. Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley will also have to step up to carry the team forward.
Starting lineup
The Clippers are expected to start with Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and Terance Mann. For the Timberwolves, if Anthony Edwards is unavailable to play, Nickeil Alexander-Walker will replace him. Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels and Mike Conley will be the rest of the starting lineup.

Prediction
The absence or presence of Anthony Edwards will play a big role in the outcome of the upcoming contest between the Clippers and Timberwolves. If he misses Sunday’s game, LA can win. Otherwise, Minnesota will take the victory on their home court. The Clippers’ struggling offense could have a tough night against the Timberwolves’ defense.
