Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Timberwolves: Prediction (2024)

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Timberwolves: Prediction (2024)

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves is one of the eight matchups scheduled for March 22 (Friday). The Cavaliers will travel to Minnesota for this contest. They will be without Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Max Strus and Dean Wade. While the Timberwolves will be without Karl-Anthony Towns in the rematch against Cleveland. The Cavaliers won the first matchup against the Timberwolves this season and will look to sweep the season series on Friday.

Preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing good basketball despite injuries to their key players. They are 5-6 in their last 11 games. Cleveland’s remaining stars will have to put up a strong performance in order to win against the Timberwolves.

On the other hand, the Timberwolves have Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid listed as questionable for Friday. If these two players are cleared to play with Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves will be big favorites to win.

Starting lineup

The Cavaliers are expected to start with Isaac Okoro, Georges Niang, Jarrett Allen, Darius Garland and Caris LeVert.

The Timberwolves will most likely start with Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley, Kyle Anderson, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Anthony Edwards.

Betting tips & Prediction

If Anthony Edwards gets cleared to play, he gets an over/under of 29.5 points. He has averaged over 30 points in his last four games. “Ant-Man” might have another big scoring night on Friday against the undermanned Cleveland, so you can bet on him to go over.

Darius Garland has an over/under of 20.5 points for the upcoming game. He will be more aggressive in the upcoming game in order to lead his team to victory, so bet on him to go over.

The Cavaliers might be injury-riddled, but they are a resilient team. If Anthony Edwards doesn’t play on Friday, they might get the win. But if “Ant-Man” is available for the Timberwolves, the Cavaliers could lose but cover the +5.5 spread.
