Phoenix Suns shooting guard Bradley Beal will be out of action for the next two weeks due to a right ankle sprain. He was injured during the team’s loss to the New York Knicks on December 15 and will now be reevaluated in early January. Beal landed on the foot of Knicks point guard Donte DiVincenzo after a three-pointer attempt during the first quarter, severely rolling his ankle. Donte was called out for a flagrant foul, while Beal stayed in the game to make his free throws before going out.
Beal has played only 6 games this season
Beal returned to the lineup on December 12 after a 12-game absence due to a back injury. He has only played six games this season, averaging 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists on 42.9% 3-point shooting. Grayson Allen will possibly not play in Tuesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sore right hamstring.
Suns have dealt with many injuries this season
The Phoenix Suns have dealt with a number of injuries in an up-and-down season, leading to roster instability and a lack of consistency on the court. The unavailability of key players, including Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, has definitely hindered the team’s performance, preventing the convergence of the Big Three due to various issues. Injuries are the main reason for the team’s form, which can be seen in the recent matches, as the Suns have lost four of their five matches.
Booker is playing an amazing part on the team
The absence of key players has placed a significant burden on Devin Booker, who has handled offensive responsibilities greatly in the absence of fellow All-Stars. Despite the situation, Booker has demonstrated unwavering consistency and has emerged as a savior for the Suns amid the team’s injury-induced adversity. Durant’s presence, work, leadership qualities, and experience play a vital role in the team’s pursuit of success.
