One of the most popular tag teams in WWE, The Shield made their debut in November 2012. A decade has passed since then , and all three wrestlers have disrupted the wrestling industry in a way few athletes ever have. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (now known as Jon Moxley) are all multiple-time world champions. Although Moxley’s success largely came in AEW , his tenure with WWE was also remarkable.
Barrett appeared on a podcast
Wade Barrett recently discussed the introduction of Nexus in 2010. The group, which consisted of seven members, became an instant hit. However, their momentum was halted when John Cena’s temporary team defeated them at the Biggest Party of the Summer that year. The former Intercontinental Champion appeared on the “Even Stronger” podcast and talked about Nexus’ legacy in WWE.

While recalling the SummerSlam, during which the team took out top stars including John Cena and former chairman Vince McMahon, Barrett stated that it changed the trajectory of his life.
“To make a massive impact on your debut like this. You can’t really ask for more than that as young and coming stars and I hope that helped show the company that ‘Hey , there’s a way forward for debuting dominant young groups of stars”, said Barrett.
“The Bad News Barrett” also said that the Shield did the same thing two years later and had even better success. “They knocked it out of the park, so maybe we were the catalyst for some of it”. Currently, Wade is a commentator on Monday Night Raw and has been retired from the ring since 2016.

All three members of Shield are doing well
Of the above-mentioned three WWE stars, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are World Champions in their respective drafts . The two are currently showing their best game. Recently, when John Cena came to India for the WWE Superstar Spectacle, he said “From my perspective I think Roman Reigns is the greatest of all time”.
Roman Reigns has been away from WWE television for more than a month. Meanwhile, Rollins recently defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of Payback. He also came to India and teamed up with John Cena in a tag team match. On the other hand, Jon Moxley competed in a stampede match at AEW and also won the International Championship recently.
