The cricket player took advantage of the opportunity to compliment Pakistan’s bowling unit, stating, “They are a terrific squad overall, but I feel bowling is their strength. They have some incredibly powerful bowlers who, depending on their skill set, have the ability to alter the course of the game at any point.” The one-day international (ODI) format, according to Kohli, “always brought the best” out of him.
He continued, “I like to take on that challenge and play to my circumstances to help my team win, and I’ve always tried to do that. In my opinion, ODI cricket is the only format that challenges every aspect of your game, including your technique, calm, patience, ability to read a scenario, and ability to adjust your strategy depending on the situation. I believe it puts you to the absolute test as a batsman.”
The former captain of India said, “I have always worked on how I can improve myself — every day, in every practice session, every year, every season.” He went on to elaborate on his reasons for and attitude behind his constant, excellent performance.

In addition, Kohli added, “I don’t think you can perform consistently without that mindset because if your performance is the only goal, then after a certain period, you can also stop working hard after being satisfied.”
He said, “I do not know the definition of excellence,” adding that it had “no limit and there is no set achievement that you have achieved excellence once you reach that point. I think I try to work towards betterment every day. Performance naturally suffers as a result of your ‘how can I help my team win here’ mentality.”
Asserting that his approach has always been to consider how succeeding will “make me a better player” or “put the team in a better position,” Kohli said.
The Indian player was quoted as saying, “White ball cricket mindset has always been to be aggressive,” in another tape from the same interview that Star Sports posted a day ago. No matter how you wish to play, it’s crucial to understand the current state of the game.”
