The reason for Virat Kohli’s absence from the first two Test matches against England has been revealed. Legendary Batsman & a good friend of Virat, AB De Villiers has revealed that Virat & Anushka are expecting their second child and this is the time when he wants to be with his wife.
Notably, the BCCI has informed that the former India Captain has withdrawn from the first two Tests beginning on January 22 due to personal reasons. After that lots of speculations & rumors were making rounds on social media regarding the ill health of his mother. However, his brother Vikas Kohli then showed up to put all the rumors to rest by confirming that their mother is fine & Virat Kohli is not away from the Test series due to his mother’s health.
Finally, it’s De Villiers who has revealed the real reason behind Kohli’s absence. He stated that the couple is expecting their second child & thus he is absent from the series. Kohli has revealed about the real reason on his YouTube channel AB de Villiers 360. During the session, a fan had asked De Villiers whether he had a chat with Kohli & asked about his well-being.
“I did text him, I did hear from him, I cannot give you too much information. All I know is that he’s fine and spending a bit of time with his family that’s the reason for missing the first few Test matches. I’m not gonna confirm anything else, unfortunately. But I would love to see him back, I cannot wait to see him back whichever form or way. But he’s fine, he’s happy” said De Villiers on his YouTube channel.
Villiers wishes best of luck to Virat & Anushka
De Villiers shared the much-anticipated news of Anushka’s second pregnancy & wished the couple best of luck for becoming parents for the second time.
“Let me just see what he said, bear with me people. I wrote to him, ‘I’ve been wanting to check with you one thing for a while now biscuit, how are you doing?’ He said, ‘How are you, Just need to be with my family right now.’ So, yes his second child is on the way, it’s family time. You cannot judge Virat for that, and yes we miss him but he’s made the right decision. We wish him all the very best for the great blessing of being able to become a father for the second time and All the Best to Anushka as well,” De Villiers further said in the video.
Earlier during the ODI World Cup 2023, Anushka was seen with a baby bump & during that time the rumors of her pregnancy started doing rounds on social media. And now confirmation from De Villiers confirms the news. All the Viratians will be happy with the fact that their idol is doing well & is awaiting to welcome his second child into this world.
