There are certain songs that can be played at any sporting event, whether it be a baseball game, a football game, a hockey game, or a basketball match. 10. Guns N’ Roses, “Welcome to the Jungle”-
For any team that has a wild animal as its mascot, such as the Lions, Jaguars, or Cougars, this is the ideal pregame entrance song. The well-known electric guitar intro is followed by Rose’s shrill words, which send the audience into a complete frenzy. Did you know that Jim Carrey has sung the song before? Well, nearly. The Dead Pool, the last movie starring Dirty Harry, featured the actor as a character who lip-synced the music.
9. T.I., “Bring Em Out”
Rapper T.I. from Atlanta just added “Bring Em Out” to the canon of arena music, and it sounds like it was created for when your favourite team steps onto the court or field. The song has enduring popularity across sports, being played by teams like the Miami Heat in the mid-2000s and more recently, the Oklahoma City Thunder. It is also heard in the NBA, MLB, and CFL. After the release of “Bring Em Out,” which is really from T.I.’s third studio album, the rapper’s mainstream success really took off.
8. Zombie Nation, “Kernkraft”
“Kernkraft 400″—possibly the first stadium chant song—might be the tune you weren’t even aware had a name, much less an actual band that composed it. The track is by German electronic musician “Zombie Nation,” and it is the original “Seven Nation Army.” Although the chant is not as common as it was in the middle of the 2000s, it is nevertheless successfully used throughout many of our favourite sporting events. The fact that various musicians have sampled the song since it first appeared on the album Leichenschmaus is evidence of its appeal.

Many teams across the nation use it, but none are as good as the University of Wisconsin. Every time the song is played before the fourth quarter of a home game at Camp Randall, the Badgers’ raucous crowd causes the stadium to visibly shake. The iconic high-pitched scream that is heard throughout the song is really a sample from Junior Walker and the All Stars “Shoot Your Shot,” a Motown smash.
6. Darude, “Sandstorm”
The only song on this list that threatens the structural stability of a stadium is Sandstorm by Finnish producer Darude, our largest import from northern Europe aside from IKEA. The Texas A&M stadium’s recent upgrades required reinforcement of the stands in the south end zone, according to an architect who worked on the project, who told the Houston Chronicle in July that the “particular frequency” of Sandstorms generated an extraordinary level of shaking. Maybe it was simply South Carolina supporters getting back at the Aggies for stealing their fight song.

Perhaps this was the first stadium tune. Hey!” from “Rock and Roll Part 1” is just begging to be shouted in a throng. The history of Gary Glitter’s song’s employment in sports was uncovered by a Sports Illustrated article from 1992. When he was 22 years old, Kevin O’Brien oversaw public relations for the International Hockey League’s Kalamazoo Wings. Organ music was practically always played during hockey games back then, according to O’Brien. However, there was a push to play prepackaged music during the games, so I began digging through my 45 collection.

The song’s title is perfect for a team, and T-Pain’s request for everyone to raise their hands during the hook always sparks a dance party throughout the entire stadium. Even Barack Obama has used the song as walkup music in the past, despite the fact that it is still relatively new.

The pinnacle of arena rock songs. Freddie Mercury is one of the greatest musicians to have ever lived, so you are entirely within your rights to listen to Queen outside of the stadium. The simplicity of this song is part of its beauty. Anyone can use it, and a stadium-wide stomp during a significant moment has a unique feeling. In fifty years, when football is played by robots and we teleport to and from games, we’ll still be listening to “We Will Rock You.”
