On Sunday, August 20, the well-known Afghan all-rounder Rashid Khan eagerly went back to his net practices. When Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav saw that Rashid Khan had posted the training session video on his Instagram account, he responded with a cheeky jab at the spectacular hit that the spin master had made.
What captivated the social media users was the word ‘Bromance’. Rashid posted a video of himself working out in the nets and captioned it, “I missed you.”
During this particular drill, he made some unusual strokes and showed off his batting prowess by hitting a “No Look” shot. Playfully, Yadav conveyed his desire to learn how to make this unique shot by speculating that he might have to spend some time working with Rashid Khan.

Days before India and Afghanistan’s first T20I encounter, Suryakumar Yadav and Rashid Khan had a touching conversation on social media. The two cricket players have engaged in a great deal of international and Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket against one another.
On Tuesday, social media fans were impressed by their “bromance.” “I’ve missed you” was the message Rashid posted alongside a video of himself working out in the nets.
In response to his post, Suryakumar commented, “And I will miss you,” very quickly. Rashid answered, “I am coming to meet you.”

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who were also selected as series captains, made a well-publicized return to the Indian T20 team for the three home matches against Afghanistan.
The last T20 match Rohit and Kohli played for India was in November 2022, during the World Cup quarterfinal matchup with England.
The squad needed to abandon its powerplay strategy, as the two veterans and KL Rahul were observed to be playing antiquated cricket, and Hardik Pandya was set to take over as the club’s new T20 captain.
But a lot of inexperience at the top of the order followed Pandya’s injury in the ODI World Cup and, more recently, Suryakumar Yadav’s ligament damage.
In the meantime, SKY will miss the Afghanistan series. SKY, who is now in NCA and scheduled to travel to Germany for a sports hernia operation. Additionally, there are reports that the right-hand batter will miss the first inning of the 2024 IPL.
The three Twenty20 Internationals will take place on January 11 in Mohali, January 14, in Indore, and January 17 in Bengaluru.
