Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday will appear as guests on the season 8 premiere of Koffee With Karan. The show’s host, Karan Johar, asked them about their rumoured boyfriends, as expected. While Sara denied dating cricketer Shubman Gill and hinted that he was dating Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar, Ananya almost confirmed her relationship with actor Aditya Roy Kapur when she discussed her ‘Aashiqui (love)’.
Sara Ali Khan wore red for her latest Koffee With Karan (KWK) appearance, while Ananya wore black. “You have ex-boyfriends in common!” Karan was seen telling the two at the start of the new promo. “Oh, that’s a very good start to the show,” Sara said. Ananya then said, “Let’s address the Liger in the room.” Sara responded, ‘No, no, no, no, no’, implying they were discussing Ananya’s Liger co-star Vijay Deverakonda, who appeared on an episode of KWK with Ananya last year.

When Karan asked about the ‘alleged rumours’ of Sara dating Shubham Gill, the actor replied, “You have the wrong Sara guys.” The entire world is looking for the wrong Sara. Karan then asked Ananya about ‘ managing her nights’ after Sara answered a question in the rapid-fire round about something Ananya possesses that Sara does not. Sara mentioned that Ananya has a web series called ‘The Night Manager,’ in which Aditya plays the lead. When asked if she was Gumraah (another project starring Aditya) in love, Ananya replied, “Ashiqui aise hi hoti hai (Love is only like that)… What?! Quit talking!”
Sara made her KWK debut in Season 6 in 2018. On an episode of the celebrity chat show, she appeared alongside her father, actor Saif Ali Khan. A few weeks later, she made her acting debut in the romantic film Kedarnath, co-starring with the late Sushant Singh Rajput. On season 7 of Koffee With Karan last year, Sara was joined on the couch by actor Janhvi Kapoor.
Ananya first appeared on Karan Johar’s show in 2019. She appeared on Koffee With Karan Season 6 with Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, months before their film Student of the Year 2. In 2019, Ananya made her Bollywood debut. Ananya and her Liger co-star Vijay Deverakonda appeared on the fourth episode of Koffee With Karan season 7 last year.
