Despite not being selected for Pakistan’s current Test series opener against Australia at Perth Stadium, keeper-battler Mohammad Rizwan garnered attention. He recreated Bobby Deol in Animal Movie.
Rizwan was seen sitting in the dugout with a paper cup atop his head. His photo went viral on social media, and many fans compared him to the character played by Indian actor Bobby Deol in the recently released film “Animal.”
Rizwan mimicks Bobby Deol in Animal movie:
Sarfaraz Ahmed, the former captain, was chosen over Mohammad Rizwan for the first Test against Australia. Rizwan has been a regular member of Pakistan’s white-ball squads. However, it appears that team management has demoted him in at least the longer format of the game.
Former Australian cricketer and coach Darren Lehmann questioned Pakistan’s strategy in selecting Sarfaraz Ahmed over Mohammad Rizwan to start as the keeper in the first Test series.
Lehmann tweeted in response to a journalist’s observation about Rizwan’s absence from the first session of the Perth Test. He expressed his displeasure with his selection on X. “Why isn’t he?” he asked.
After winning the toss in Perth, Australia elected to bat first. David Warner completed an incredible farewell Test series with his 26th Test century. On the first day of action at Optus Stadium, the veteran opener scored 164 runs.
Mitchell Marsh was out at ninety, denying himself a well-deserved century. Pakistani bowler Aamer Jamal, making his Test debut, was the most successful, taking six wickets. After the start of the second session, Australia was bowled out for 487.
Pakistani batters Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq ensured their team got off to a fast start. They did not lose a wicket for more than 30 overs and put on a crucial 74-run partnership. Shafique was bowled out by off-spinner Nathan Lyon in the 37th over, capping off an impressive 42-run innings. Later, Mitchell Starc ended Shan Masood’s aggressive knock near the end of play.
Mohammad Rizwan player profile:
Mohammad Rizwan is a Peshawar-based wicket-keeper batsman who idolizes Adam Gilchrist. He made his First Class debut for Peshawar in 2008, impressing the selectors with a string of notable performances with the bat and gloves. Rizwan’s journey from the Peshawar College team at the age of 17 to the Pakistan national team at the age of 22 was incredible and hard-working.
He struggled to cope with the pressure of playing white-ball cricket in the early stages of his Under-19 career. He did, however, overcome adversity with the assistance of his domestic coaches and mentors.
After an 87-ball 103 helped Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Fighters win the Pentangular One Day Cup with a six-wicket win over Baluchistan Warriors in the final, Rizwan pushed his case for a spot in the national side even further. Furthermore, Rizwan was instrumental in Peshawar Panthers’ national T20 championships in 2014 and 2015.
Talking about the Animal movie, featured Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri in prominent roles. The film is speculated to have a sequel titled Animal Park.
