Born on October 18, 1991, Jaydev Dipakbhai Unadkat is a professional cricket player from India who has represented the country’s national team. He participates in domestic cricket for Saurashtra. In the 2010 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, he played for India. Unadkat became the first guy to lead Saurashtra to the Ranji Trophy championship in March 2020. Domestic career
In India, Unadkat represents Saurashtra. He has participated in the Indian Premier League for several different teams. He was one of the most expensive Indian players when he was chosen by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013. He was named Player of the Match in May 2013 after recording his best T20 career bowling stats of 5/25 against the Delhi Daredevils.
Delhi picked him for the 2014 IPL auction, while Kolkata Knight Riders won the auction in February 2016 with an offer of ₹160 lakh (US$200,000), securing Unadkat’s services. He relocated one more in February 2017, this time to Rising Pune Supergiants.
He scored a hat-trick against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tenth IPL during the game’s last over, which was a wicket-maiden over.
He was included in the India Blue squad for the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy in July of that year, and the India B squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy in October of the same year.
He was selected in August 2019 for the India Red team’s roster for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy before being nominated for India A for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy. In January 2019, he became the second bowler for Saurashtra to take 200 wickets in the Ranji Trophy. With 67 wickets in ten matches, he was the Ranji Trophy’s top wicket-taker for 2019–20.

Since his 2010 debut, Jaydev Unadkat has not participated in a Test match.
He was acquired by the Mumbai Indians in February 2022 during the Indian Premier League 2022 auction.
The Lucknow Super Giants purchased him at the IPL auction on December 23, 2022, in preparation for the 2023 Indian Premier League competition.
International career
Unadkat was used as a net bowler for the Indian national team in Sri Lanka before making his debut for his country against South Africa in December 2010 during the first Test match at Centurion. In 2010, Unadkat played for India’s under-19 side in England, taking 13 wickets in his first-class cricket debut against the West Indies under-19s at Grace Road.
Kuldeep Yadav was replaced by Unadkat in the second Test match against Bangladesh, which took place in Mirpur on December 22, 2022. After 12 years, Jaydev Unadkat returned to the Test team.
In June 2016, Unadkat played his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match at Harare Sports Club against Zimbabwe.
