Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, shared a photo of himself on Instagram. Among the many comments, one drew the attention of the followers. It appears that ‘Virat Obolo tos the GOAT’ was written by IShowSpeed, a well-known YouTuber. This translates to, ‘Virat Kohli GOAT’.
For more than two years, Pakistan’s captain held down the top batter position. Azam ousted Kohli in August 2021 after the latter had occupied this position for 1258 days. Since that time, the person who won the 2017 Champions Trophy has held this post until September 24, 2023. Apparently, Shubman Gill required 200 runs to unseat Azam before to the current ODI series between India and Australia.
However, after making 151 runs against Nepal, right-hander Azam didn’t have the best Asia Cup 2023. He did not reach fifty against other sides in the competition, including Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. Gill has now amassed 178 runs and only needs 22 more to win the last ODI on September 27.
