The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of the Indian cricket team celebrating Diwali on Sunday, ahead of their ICC World Cup 2023 match against the Netherlands. The BCCI wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) while sharing the celebratory video, “We are #TeamIndia, and we wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Diwali.”
The Indian cricket team players can be seen in the shared video dressed in traditional Indian attire and attending the event with their partners. Rohit Sharma is seen arriving at the party with his wife, Ritika, and Virat Kohli is seen arriving with Anushka Sharma. Other players seen having fun at the party include Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Shami.

In the shared video, the India cricket team’s coach, Rahul Dravid, can also be seen interacting and having fun with others. Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team is currently in Bengaluru for its final league match of the ODI World Cup against the Netherlands at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
India enters the game fresh off a 243-run victory over Temba Bavuma’s South African team at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. The Netherlands, on the other hand, comes into the game after a 160-run defeat to England at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
The Indian cricket team, captained by Rohit Sharma, currently leads the points standings after winning every game played thus far. So far, India has played matches against Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand.
