On Monday, January 22, the holy city of Ayodhya successfully held the Pran Pratishtha ceremony for Ram Mandir, driving the entire nation into a frenzy. Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the rituals to dedicate Lord Rama’s idol in their most private residence in addition to attending the occasion. The top names in industry, sports, and entertainment graced the historic occasion, which was witnessed by several notable national personalities. Even though a lot of celebrities attended the sacred event, notable Indian cricket players Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli weren’t there.

When the impostor arrived in Ayodhya, he was met with a thunderous welcome. On X, the former name for Twitter, a video of Team India supporters swarming onto the street to get a peek at Kohli’s impersonator went viral.

Why Virat Kohli Could Not Attend the Ram Mandir Ceremony?

Anushka Sharma, a Bollywood actress, and her husband Virat Kohli were asked to attend the religious ritual at his Mumbai residence. However, the Delhi cricket player was also unable to attend the event due to personal matters.

There were a lot of people who expected that Kohli would be present at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) when it was first stated that he was taking a day off. There was also a suspected video that surfaced, purportedly showing him heading to Ayodhya.

Kohli chooses not to play in the first two England Tests

In the forthcoming series, Kohli will miss the first two Test matches against England. According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Kohli withdrew from the first two matches for personal reasons. On Sunday, ahead of the first Test match against England, Kohli arrived in Hyderabad. On Monday, though, Kohli was absent from Team India’s optional training session. The 35-year-old’s final Test match for India was during the series against South Africa. After a successful campaign in the ICC World Cup last year, he was rested for the whole white-ball series against the Proteas.
